Cynthia Bearison

I am a 500 hour certified trauma informed yoga instructor, a registered member of Yoga Alliance, and an education provider.  I've been practicing and studying yoga for over 20 years. I've obtained certifications in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Hala Khouri, Zabie Yamasaki & TCTSY, Restorative Yoga with Mary Ann Gebhardt, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Reiki. In addition, I've obtained a Therapeutic Yoga Instructor certification and Advanced Trauma Sensitive Meditation certification with David Treleaven.   Following my passion for helping children, I've completed a teacher-training program for children that concentrates on children with special needs and children with anxiety.

I strive to bring yoga to the community at large with my weekly free trauma sensitive yoga classes. Outside of the studio, I've been involved with Exhale to Inhale, an organization that provides weekly yoga classes to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.  Additionally, I offer donation-based yoga and meditation to the medical personnel at RWJ Hospitals, as well as help to raise funds for the "Susie Foundation", which offers support to families living with ALS.
