Cynthia Bearison, E-RYT
Cynthia has been studying yoga for over 20 years. She is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor and a registered member of Yoga Alliance. Cynthia has obtained certifications in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Hala Khouri, Zabie Yamasaki & TCTSY, Restorative Yoga with Mary Ann Gebhardt, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Reiki, as well as a certification as a Therapeutic Yoga Instructor and Advanced Trauma Sensitive Meditation with David Treleaven. She has a love of teaching gentle yoga and meditation, inviting students to find what works for their personal journey, utilizing a trauma sensitive lens. Her overall approach is focused on creating a safe and accessible environment for all. She utilizes the healing aspects of yoga & meditation while inviting a deep awareness of the mind/body connection.
Additionally, Cynthia has completed a teacher-training program for children, with a concentration in children with special needs and children with anxiety. She is honored to be able to offer tools they can utilize throughout their lives.
Cynthia also offers free trauma sensitive yoga classes weekly and is involved with Exhale to Inhale, an organization that provides weekly yoga classes to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She additionally donates her time, offering yoga and meditation to the medical personnel at RWJ Hospitals, as well as helping raise funds for the "Susie Foundation", which offers support to families living with ALS.
